How it is made

Cotton is stretched and primed, the figure is drawn on a proportion grid, and colours ground from minerals are built up in thin layers. Gold is applied and polished last.

Hanging and care

Hang it out of direct sun and away from damp. Frame it behind glass with a spacer, or mount it in silk brocade. To store it, roll it loosely around a tube and never fold it.

Shipping and returns

Paintings travel rolled in a protective tube. You can return any piece within 14 days. Read the shipping and returns page for the details.
